Pregnant women sometimes get pain on their left sides during pregnancy. Pregnant women often develop a cyst called Corpus Litum cyst. This cyst usually develops in the 13th week and eventually disappears. In rare cases, the cyst does stay and twists an ovary. This cyst causes discomfort. Sometimes the pain could be caused by this cyst which could be bleeding internally.

Some of the common causes of pain in pregnancies are kidney stones, appendicitis, stomach flu or food poisoning, constipation and even pancreatitis.

The good news is that most pregnant women go through some kind of abdominal pain at least once in their pregnancy.
