Tingling Hands During Pregnancy

Tingling in the hands during pregnancy is a very common occurrence. It occurs because of a condition referred to as Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. This condition occurs due to an increase in water retention with the progress of pregnancy.

More retention of water causes the body tissues to swell and the nerve that passes through your wrists gets compressed and this results in a tingling sensation in your hands.

Usually, the tingling sensation is felt in the thumb, index finger, third finger, and upper half of the small finger. You may also experience pain and a burning sensation, especially in your index finger.
