Pregnancy light headedness can also be caused if you are anaemic as the number of red blood cells to the heart and other organs of the body are lower in number. Iron deficiency happens to be the most common cause for anaemia and you may consume a diet rich in iron including green leafy vegetables and supplement your diet with iron supplements and vitamins after consulting with your regular health care provider.

Other factors for pregnancy light headedness are allergies, hyperventilation, internal bleeding, acute anxiety and substance abuse. Sudden shocks or surprises in terms of both good and bad news can also bring on an attack of light headedness. Try not to spend time in an overheated room or take too many hot baths as the heat can dilate the blood vessels causing your blood pressure to drop and subsequently a feeling of wooziness. Nausea, anxiety and light headedness are all signs that you must change your position immediately but slowly.
