With the continuing growth of the body, the original blood that was initially used to help protect the womb is no longer required and therefore discarded. Implantation bleeding is also known to occur at this time and is triggered at the time the fertilized egg implants itself in the uterus and leads to light spotting or bleeding in the expectant mother. Because of the fact that brown discharge during pregnancy can have a number of different causes, it is highly recommended that you approach your gynecologist or doctor as soon as possible to get a clearer understanding and make sure that everything is going according to plan.
