Week 30 of Pregnancy

By pregnancy week 30, you have completed three fourth of your 40 weeks of pregnancy and are moving closer and closer to your due date. Your little one has grown quite big and weighs almost 3 pounds and is around 15.7 inches tall. There is tremendous amount of development in your baby as they are growing and they are also trying to fill the uterus as much as they can everyday. Your baby has developed his sense of taste and is also increasing the amount of fat stored. They will be more round in appearance and their skin is also grown wherein it is quite smooth and pink.

You will feel the movements of your baby now and then and may also feel if they are moving their arm, leg or other part. You may try and figure out each time as to what body part you feel they are moving or can even feel it at the end of the belly. The amount of amniotic fluid in your body is reducing as more and more place in the uterus is being occupied by the baby as they are growing. Your uterus is growing everyday and by pregnancy week 30, it is almost 4 inches above your belly button. You will realize that you are getting tired very early and too often and this because the levels of progesterone in your body is increasing and also because you normally do not get enough sleep in the night because no position seems comfortable to sleep in.

Pregnancy Week 30 And Your Body

You will continue to have a lot of back pain and pain in the legs which can be reduced by learning certain exercises for stretching and toning. You can also indulge in massages as that will help to release your pain and provide you with relief. You need to keep eating healthy food and increase your number of meals per day so that your child is getting all the nourishment that he needs. There will be a lot of hormonal changes that you will go through because of which you will have mood swings and might also have food cravings on and off. During Week 30 of Pregnancy you can try to meditate or do some other forms of exercises like yoga as this will help you. Also, you will increase your visits to the doctor for check ups that will be once in two weeks and slowly move on to every week in the later weeks of pregnancy.
