Overheating During Pregnancy

Contrary to what many people believe, overheating during pregnancy is not just related to feeling hot during pregnancy. Instead, overheating it refers to raising the body temperature to a very high level, which could also have an adverse effect on the on the baby. Studies indicate that overheating during pregnancy, by factors like excessive working out at a gym, could increase the risks of a miscarriage or even other birth defects in a baby.

Fortunately, during pregnancy, the body’s capacity to dissipate heat also increases, however, it is possible for overheating to occur. Therefore, a woman is not likely to suffer from overheating during pregnancy, just because the weather is very hot. Instead, overheating during pregnancy can occur.
