Late Period Negative Pregnancy Test

It is most frustrating to have a missed period and a negative pregnancy test, more so when you are trying to get pregnant. However, there are reasons why the test might be negative. Pregnancy tests detect the pregnancy hormone Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) in a woman’s urine. If the test used is of a lower sensitivity, it may only detect pregnancy when the hCG hormone reaches a certain level.
