Implantation is a process that occurs in every pregnancy. Every month, a woman's ovaries release an egg, which enters the fallopian tubes. While the egg is in the fallopian tube, it can get fertilized by sperm, after which it moves into the uterus and attaches itself to the uterine walls. This procedure, in which the egg gets "implanted" into the uterus, is known as implantation. There are several symptoms of implantation that can help a woman know she is pregnant, even before she misses her period. However, most women mistake implantation symptoms like back pain, bloating and cramps for the symptoms of the menstrual cycle.

Implantation Symptoms Back Pain

There are many women who experience a dull ache in their lower back region, as a result of implantation. However, the back pain experienced after implantation should be more like a moderate ache. If the pain is unbearable or is too severe, then it may be best to consult a doctor and get the pain investigated.

Implantation Bleeding Back Pain

In addition to back aches, some women may also experience vaginal bleeding or spotting, as some of the tissues are shed from the lining of the uterus. The color of the blood is not really red in such cases; instead, it is more of a pink or brown color. Moreover, the bleeding or spotting is generally so mild that it is completely missed by most women. It is only natural for women to take a pregnancy test, as soon as they notice signs like implantation lower back pain.

Implantation Cramping Back Pain

Cramps and ache in the back are very common signs of implantation and pregnancy. However, since these symptoms can also be associated with the start of the menstrual cycle, it is quite natural for women to make a mistake or miss these symptoms completely.

While implantation symptoms like back pain, cramps, spotting and bloating are common, it is not necessary that they will be seen in every pregnancy. However, if the tests are taken too early, the reading may not be accurate. Therefore, it is advisable to take another test after a suitable duration, in case the other symptoms of implantation and back pain persist. Many women also confirm if the implantation back pain means pregnancy, by undergoing a checkup conducted by a medical healthcare provider.
