Pregnancy Hypertension Remedies

There are a few basic measures that you should follow to treat this condition. Restrict your intake of table salt and of foods containing saturated fats such as clarified butter, red meats, deep-fried snacks, and sweetened confectioneries and beverages. Instead, eat plenty of fresh fruits and raw vegetables to supply essential nutrients to the body. Whole grains, sprouts and nuts should also be eaten regularly to ensure the proper development of the baby. It is also very useful to drink at least 12 glasses of water every day, as this helps maintain a healthy balance of salts and water in the bloodstream and keeps the blood pressure under control. You may also mix two teaspoons of honey and the juice of a fresh lemon in a glass of water and drink this solution twice every day in the morning and the evening in order to naturally reduce blood pressure during pregnancy. This also has the additional benefit of reducing morning sickness that many pregnant women suffer from.

You should also eat a couple of oranges or ripe tomatoes before breakfast every day to keep a check on your blood pressure. Alternatively, you could eat a papaya every morning on an empty stomach to treat hypertension. A solution of a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar and a glass of water is also useful in this regard. Also, chew a few leaves of the Holy basil plant and Margosa leaves every morning before breakfast to solve this problem. For another remedy, mix a teaspoon each of salt and black pepper with a glass of the juice of watermelon and consume this mixture every day. Chewing a few cloves of raw garlic during every meal also helps.
