First Teenage Pregnancy Symptoms

One of the easiest ways to establish if one is pregnant whether as a teen or an older woman is simply by taking a pregnancy test. However, there are various symptoms that a woman starts to feel which an indicator as to whether she might be pregnant or not. It is not always easy for a teen to get a pregnancy test so it is probably easier for them to figure out if they are pregnant by simply understanding the signs.

One of the first and most important signs that a teen can look out for to ascertain if she is pregnant is a missed period. This can be difficult however for those women who are have irregular periods. In this case it is not as simple to understand if one is pregnant solely based on a missed period. This problem is especially so for teenagers as they usually get irregular periods. Then at this time one can look out for some of the other signs that indicate if one is pregnant. Also just having a late period may not be an indication of a missed period but can be late for some other reasons too. Sore breasts can be one of the other main indications of pregnancy. This can however also be an accompanying symptom of PMS or one’s period. So it cannot be a definite symptom by itself.

Feeling tired is another crucial indicator of being pregnant. The type of tiredness that one feels in the early months of pregnancy is very different from the tiredness that one feels at any other time in one’s life. The tiredness can be so much that even standing can be extremely difficult at times. But this is not an absolute sign of pregnancy. Another sign of possible teen pregnancy is feeling the urgent need to use the toilet frequently. Frequent urination is a very common sign of being pregnant. This is mainly due the pressure of the growing fetus on the pregnant woman’s bladder. If one is urinating a lot or getting the urge to do so then it is usually a sign of pregnancy. However one can suffer from this frequent urination due to other reasons also. Another sign of early pregnancy is light spotting. When the egg implants itself in the teen’s uterus it can cause a lot spotting to occur. However light spotting can be an indication of one’s period starting etc.
