Early Pregnancy Symptoms

The symptoms of pregnancy are not same for every woman. The symptoms of pregnancy may also differ in their intensity, frequency and the duration. Some women ask their friends, family members or peers, some others ponder in silence, while still some others rush off to a doctor to find out whether they might be pregnant or not.
Women who are extremely tuned into their body’s rhythms may suspect pregnancy very soon after conception. A lot of women however do not realize that they are pregnant until weeks after conception. The earliest signs of pregnancy are often subtle and thus the best way to determine pregnancy is by doing a home pregnancy test.

The first obvious sign which may raise concern would be a missed period. Your monthly cycle might just be delayed, so it is better to look for other symptoms. Many a time’s women simply “intuit” that they are pregnant. This intuition is generally proven correct. The skin around the nipples gets darker once you have successfully conceived. Your breasts might feel tender and a little heavier than normal.

Frequent urination is again a very common symptom of pregnancy. A swelling uterus puts pressure on your bladder and this makes you go to the bathroom more often. Many women complain of fatigue, the increasing levels of hormones and the changes taking place within your body might make you more tired than usual. You might also experience nausea, queasiness when you least expect it.

Another common symptom that almost all pregnant women experience is food cravings. You might be interested in sampling certain foods time and time again while you might find a great distaste to some other kinds of foods! When expecting, you might find yourself drawn towards certain scents. Some can make you feel at ease and some might make you feel nauseated.

You will experience extreme mood swings and irritability due to all those raging hormones. You might wonder if you are down with fever or cold since your body will feel warmer than usual. Weight change might cause some soreness or back pain. Your posture and alignment is thrown out of proportion as your uterus grows in size, this also causes lower back pain.

Bloating is most commonly experienced at this stage. You might also find that some of your clothes begin to get tighter, which are all signs of being pregnant. As soon as you are convinced you are pregnant, you might want to visit a doctor and find out more about the changes happening within you.
