Early Pregnancy Symptoms

Pregnancy symptoms generally appear within the first two to three weeks of pregnancy but they may not be obvious unless you are keeping an eye out for them. Certain pregnancy symptoms like implantation bleeding will generally occur after 8 to 10 days from the day you ovulated. If you have been keeping a track of your menstrual cycles, you may also notice a definite change in your basal body temperature patterns. While you are ovulating, your basal body temperature will be elevated and when you fail to conceive it will lower once more. However, if you are pregnant, you will notice that your basal body temperature remains elevated. This change may be very slight, but if you have been tracking your basal body temperature for a couple of months, you will immediately notice the change in pattern.

In most cases, pregnancy symptoms like nausea and morning sickness may take a few weeks to set in and this means that you will feel completely fine during this time. While nausea can be extremely annoying and can interfere with your daily activities, it generally subsides after the first three months or so. Most women stop feeling nauseous by the fourth month and are completely free of this problem for the rest of their pregnancy. One of the most obvious symptoms of pregnancy is a missed period. If you are not very regular, this may not be easy to determine but if you are fairly regular and if you are sexually active, you should opt for a pregnancy test. A home pregnancy test kit is an easy method to determine pregnancy. You can also opt for a blood test to be sure of the results of a pregnancy urine test.

Within the first month of your pregnancy, you will start to experience low energy levels and you may also suffer from fatigue and dizziness. Make sure that you eat healthy meals during your pregnancy as this will help to keep your energy levels elevated. You can also reduce dizziness by changing your body position slowly and so you will need to stand up slowly when you are getting up from your bed or couch. You may also notice that your breasts appear to be swollen and they may seem tender. This is a very common pregnancy symptom and some women even experience it as early as the first week of pregnancy. You may also need to urinate frequently and you may notice that you have increased vaginal discharge. These are very common pregnancy symptoms and so you need not be alarmed.
