What To Expect Pregnancy Week 36

The 36th week of pregnancy usually ushers in what is commonly known as the “full term” which means that your baby is now spending his last few days in the comfort of your womb. By this time most expectant mothers are plagued by mixed emotions of anxiousness on how the labor and delivery would be and the other side of being excited to welcome your little bundle of joy into your life and your family. At this point of time all you can do is to stay calm and get enough rest as possible. You may not feel like moving around much because of the weight you carry but you could take small walks that will keep your joints moving and free. Moreover prenatal yoga would be an added advantage that would not just help you to de-stress but it would also help your body deal with the onset of delivery. Some health experts also believe that a good prenatal massage would prove to be an advantage to help you unwind and take your mind off the aches and pains that you might be having. You could locate a therapist who is trained in prenatal massages and you could schedule a weekly of bi-weekly massage which would be a real help to soothe your body and mind at this time. Taking a light swim during the last half of your pregnancy can help to relieve you of a lot of pain and stiffness because for the time that you are in the water it makes you weightless for that time.

By week 36 of pregnancy, your baby is still working on putting of weight and fat to his bones so that when he is born all this fat will keep him as warm as he was in your womb. By this time the level of amniotic fluid in your abdomen would have stabilized and even though your baby would be swallowing a little of this fluid everyday your baby will eventually expel this fluid as urine. This balance of the baby swallowing and expelling this fluid is naturally done and monitored so that should be of concern to you. This is considered to be one of the best times of pregnancy because even if it’s your first or last baby the wonder of being able to carry and nurture a tiny human being inside of you is an experienced to be cherished.
