One of the most devastating signs during a pregnancy is that of cramping. The regular term of a pregnancy usually spans between approximately thirty four and thirty six weeks. When you are 17 weeks pregnant, cramping is a sign of distress that needs to be taken very seriously. It is also extremely important that a partner given an expectant mother the required moral support she needs at this period of time, to help ease the worries of a difficult situation. Not all cramping need necessarily indicate a miscarriage, but if there is bleeding involved, it is important that you seek urgent medical assistance.
