...that you may not have felt in your first pregnancy. The possible cause of this is that your uterus may not yield and stretch as easily as it did before. Fortunately, morning sickness in your second pregnancy is less severe than what it was during your first pregnancy.

However, second pregnancies can be more tiring as you will need to tend to your first child at the same time. Further, your stomach will begin to show earlier than it did the first time. This happens because the muscles of the uterine wall are much more flexible due to the earlier expansion. In your second pregnancy, your stomach can show as early as the eighth to tenth week.

With regard to signs of second pregnancy, things are going to be different at an emotional level as well. Preoccupation with the second pregnancy is not going to be the same as the first time. This is because you will remain busy with your first-born child. Also, the experience that you gain from your first pregnancy will help you in your second one. Some mothers begin to feel guilty about the fact that they don't get much time to devote to their first child, but there is no need to worry because natal checkups do not need to be as frequent as they were when you were pregnant for the first time.

You may also begin to feel guilty for not having time to devote to your husband. However, there is no reason to feel guilty. It is better to tell him about your pregnancy as soon as possible and give him enough time to adjust to the idea. Try involving both your husband and your first child in the process of taking care of you, and assure them that they are still as important to you as they used to be.

You need to be careful during this period about complications that may arise due to the weight that you have gained between both your pregnancies. Even a couple of kilos may cause problems such as high blood pressure and pregnancy related diabetes. A higher weight gain can cause problems such as preeclampsia, still-birth, and toxemia.

Overall, you are going to find that being pregnant the second time is going to make you less apprehensive than the first time. Exercise, eat healthy food, and relax and you will have a risk-free pregnancy.
